This week I’m excited to finally start Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson. I really enjoyed her first novel, An Enchantment of Ravens when I read it a few years ago, so I already know I like her writing style. In Sorcery, Elisabeth has been raised her entire life knowing sorcerers are evil, but when her survival is tied up in her partnership with a sorcerer she begins to question everything she’s been told. It sounds intriguing, and Jaelithe said she really enjoyed it, so I’m really looking forward to this audiobook!

I’m also thinking about starting The Family Upstairs by Lisa Jewell, which was a Christmas gift from my mother (who accidentally ordered herself two copies). In this story, Libby has waited for her 25th birthday to arrive so that she can find out more information about her birth family, but all indications are she may have been better off not finding out more. It sounds like it’s going to be a fun, suspenseful read. Having enjoyed Lisa Jewell’s I Found You last year, I have high hopes that this one will be an enjoyable read, as well.

Also on the short list:

Have you read any of the books on my list this week? If so, let me know in the comments!

  • I enjoy how well curated your TBR is. Mine is so so so out of hand. Lol. I just keep adding and adding and adding. I think I have a problem.
