As mentioned in previous posts, I’ve been audio-booking my way through things quite a bit, and I’m in a very “what grabs my eye in the moment” place when it comes to how I’m selecting my next book.

My current audio book is a fun, YA romance novel called Tweet Cute by Emma Lord. My impression is it’s a little bit You’ve Got Mail, the Millenial edition. 😉 So far it’s a fun, light story and I’ve been enjoying it, and I’m a particular fan of the audiobook using male and female narrators for the main characters.

I’m close to next on the wait list for The Book of Longings by Sue Monk Kidd, which is a semi-controversial story of a woman named Ana, who lives in Galilee and marries Jesus. This one caused quite the stir on social media, with a lot of Christians voicing concern about the biblical implications of a novel suggesting Christ was married – but in my mind it’s fiction, and I’m very interested to see what this one is like.

I recently used one of my Audbile credits to purchase a copy of To Love a Prince, by Rachel Hauck which promises to be a cheesy romance novel about a girl who runs into her childhood friend, the Prince, who’s on his gap-year from Royalty (or whatever) and y’know. Romance things happen.

My selection is a little all over the place, but that seems to be working for me, lately…

Have you read any of these books? What’s your go-to method of book selection when you know you want to read but you’re not sure what you’re in the mood for? Let us know in the comments, below!
