Will you be surprised to learn that I’m reading a lot of fantasy right now? Didn’t think so. And one that I’m very excited about has finally come into my hands after waiting months on the list at the library.

Physical books:

Sword and Pen (The Great Library #5) by Rachel Caine — Though this one was on my last TBR, I’m not quite finished with it. It’s the Great Library finale, and I’m enjoying every moment of it!

Aurora Burning (Aurora Cycle #2) by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff — This is it. The one I’ve been waiting months for. It’s a YA scifi/fantasy with a delightful cast that engage in the signature banter you’d expect from a Jay Kristoff book. I’m very excited for more adventures with Squad 312!

The City of Brass (The Daevabad Trilogy #1) by S.A. Chakraborty — I tried this one as an audiobook twice but just couldn’t follow along. So many names, so many jumps in time, and so many jumps from one POV to another. However, someone who shares my reading tastes says it’s really good, so I’m going to try it as a physical book instead. I think it will be easier to follow if I can flip back and forth.

Audiobooks:

Never Have I Ever by Joshilyn Jackson — This one’s contemporary, sort of a Desperate Housewives mystery thriller.

Crown of Feathers by Nicki Pau Preto — Billed as Ember in the Ashes meets Three Dark Crowns, so you know I’m totally in.

The Last Wish (The Witcher #0.5) by Andrzej Sapkowski — These are short stories about Geralt, the Witcher, “professional monster hunter, sorcerer, swordsman, and mutant.” It’s the character the Netflix series is based on.
