Welcome to TBR Thursday! Here’s what I’m reading for the next few weeks:
Physical books & eBooks:
Starsight (Skyward #2) by Brandon Sanderson — I enjoyed the first one so much (see my review here for full details) that I’m reading the second.
Audiobooks:
Kingdom of the Wicked by Kerri Maniscalco — I’ve been enjoying the Stalking Jack the Ripper series by this author (although, the third book wasn’t as good as the first two), so I thought I’d give another series of hers a try. This one is YA fantasy; the MC, her twin sister, and her grandmother are witches (streghe), and they’re going to have to go up against some princes of Hell who represent the seven deadly sins.
Storm Front (The Dresden Files #1) by Jim Butcher — The first in an urban fantasy series, this one is about murders committed with black magic. My mom has been trying to get me to read Dresden for years, so when I saw this one was available I snatched it up.
Half a Soul (Regency Faerie Tales #1) by Olivia Atwater — According to her Goodreads bio, the author writes “whimsical historical fantasy with a hint of satire.” I don’t know much about the book (although I think the series name kind of speaks for itself), but the author seemed cool so I checked this one out from the library and I’m interested to see where it goes.
The Nobleman’s Guide to Scandal and Shipwrecks (Montague Siblings #3) — This is the third book about the Montague Siblings, and this one follows the younger son (the one who hasn’t been cast out by his father). The first two books were delightful, and I hope the older two siblings appear in this one as well.
Witch Week (Chrestomanci #3) by Diana Wynne Jones — The kids and I are continuing to enjoy this series that features the Enchanter named Christopher Chant, also known as Chrestomanci.
