Here’s what’s on the January reading agenda!
My current listen is Days of Blood and Starlight by Laini Taylor. This is book 2 of the Daughter of Smoke & Bone trilogy, which I’ve previously read and already know I love. The reread was triggered by our Book Club’s January book selection (Daughter of Smoke & Bone) and it just felt natural to continue on with the series. 😉 As you may suspect, given it’s a trilogy, my next-up read is Dreams of Gods & Monsters which I already have queued up in Libby. I’m enjoying this re-read and it’s reminding me how much I love Laini Taylor’s writing!
I also recently downloaded Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir using one of my backlog of Audible credits. I cannot express to you how much I loved Mark Watney in The Martian, so I know I like Weir’s writing. This one’s been on the mental list for forever so I’m excited to get into it sooner-than-later.
Finally, for Christmas I received my copy of Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone by Diana Gabaldon, which is book 9 of the Outlander series. When I borrowed Outlander from the library 12 years ago I had no idea I was in for a decade’s worth of reading, but I’m still here for all the Jamie Fraser I can get.
Are you someone who willingly rereads good books, or are you a one-and-done-only kind of reader? Any thoughts on the books on this week’s list? Hit me up in the comments and let’s chat about it!
