This past week I finished an audiobook, and read exactly 13 pages of What Unites Us, which was on my last TBR, and remains my physical book goal for the coming week. In fact, I set it as “Currently Reading” in Goodreads as I was typing this post, just to remind myself to pick it up and actually read a bit more.
(Pssst, you guys – I am SO. CLOSE. To finishing my massive cross stitch project!!!)
I have a whole variety of audiobooks to choose from, but I haven’t landed on a “what’s next” selection yet.
I actually started to listen to The Readers of Broken Wheel Recommend by Katrarina Bivald, which is about a woman named Sara who travels from Sweden to Iowa to finally meet her penpal, Amy. Upon arriving, though, Sara finds out she has arrived on the same day as Amy’s funeral. The townspeople insist Sara set up in Amy’s house, and then apparently Sara opens a bookstore? I honestly am not sure how this is all going to unfold, and it has mixed reviews on Goodreads, but it was suggested to me as a “since you’ve read a lot of books about people who love books, you should try this one!” so… We’ll see.
I also still have The House in the Cerulean Sea and Deadly Education in my list of Audible books I have purchased but not read, yet, and I have a feeling Cerulean Sea might be exactly what I need to grab my attention while I work on finishing up my sewing project. (But I also got several great recommendations for some additional WWII fiction via Twitter for my last book review so… Who knows what will be next??)
Honestly, this is the least decisive I’ve been about a TBR in a while – so I will be sure to provide an update in the coming weeks to let you know what I selected to read next!
What’s on YOUR TBR this week? Do you have a favorite audio book you’ve listened to lately that I should consider adding to my list? Let me know in the comments!
