Happy Thanksgiving!

Before you fall into a turkey coma, check out my list of books I’m reading this week:

Physical books

The Fell of Dark by Caleb Roehrig — In a world where people know about vampires, this teenage boy (who feels left out because he’s the only gay boy in town) meets a handsome vampire boy who thinks he’s cute. Oh, also the vampire reveals that the lonely boy is at the confluence of a world-ending prophecy. I’m only a few chapters in so far, but I’m excited to read more!

Con Academy by Joe Schreiber — Next on my stack is this book where two teens at a prestigious boarding school have to con their way out of things. Or into them. I’m not sure. But the cover and blurb both looked cool, so we’re going to see what happens with this one.

Our Dark Duet (Monsters of Verity #2) by Victoria Schwab — The second book in a duology about a monster hunter and monster who fall in love, in a world where it’s sometimes hard to tell who the real monsters are.

Audiobooks

Empires of Light: Edison, Tesla, Westinghouse, and the Race to Electrify the World by Jill Jonnes — This one is my nonfiction that I’m working on right now, and it’s exactly what it sounds like. Very interesting so far!

Hollowpox: The Hunt for Morrigan Crow by Jessica Townsend — This is a middle grade book, third in the Nevermoor series, and I LOVE these books. Neat magic, cool worldbuilding, kids with powers, etc. I would read them on my own if my kids weren’t interested, but they are, so we’re enjoying this one together.

Hope you get extra time over the long weekend to read some great books! What’s on your TBR this week?
